| Douglas A. Werth has been an Idaho attorney since 1987. He is the former County Prosecutor for Blaine County and also served as an Idaho deputy attorney general. Mr. Werth practices in a wide array of practice areas, including civil litigation, criminal defense, family law, business transactions and formations, zoning and subdivision applications and disputes, and county taxation disputes. Mr. Werth has been the lead attorney in over 90 appellate cases. He also has extensive experience in land use matters and currently serves as Chairman of the Blaine County Planning and Zoning Commission.
Mr. Werth is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States District Court for the District of Idaho, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and all trial and appellate courts of the State of Idaho.
In 1983, Mr. Werth received his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He obtained his law degree at the University of Idaho College of Law in 1986 and a few years later received a master of laws degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Doug and his wife, Holly, have two young boys who keep them both busy. Doug grew up in Idaho and enjoys big game and bird hunting, fishing, skiing, and a multitude of other outdoor pursuits.
